FAQ

Pressed Florals

How do I care for my pressed floral art?

Great question! All pressed floral art is intended to be hung or displayed indoors, away from humidity, and ideally out of direct sunlight. Pressed flowers are sensitive to heat and light. While we do use UV glass to help protect your art from fading, the more sun they get, the faster the colors fade! Pressed florals do best with airflow around them. For this reason, we caution against long term storage in boxes.

How long will my pressed florals last?

With proper care of your frame, your flowers can last forever! Remember, all Paper Daisy Floral items are handcrafted from real, pressed flowers and plants. As such, they are both one of a kind, and very delicate in nature. We do not use any preservatives, dyes or chemicals to treat our flowers, so with time the colors of your blooms will fade. This is normal, and we think that the natural art of aging adds another beautiful layer to the story your flowers tell.

Can I drop off my flowers instead of shipping them?

Yes! If you’re local to the Monterey Peninsula, you’re welcome to drop off your flowers. This can be coordinated after you order.

How early should I book in advance of my wedding for a preservation?

Please reach out to us within 6 months of your event at paperdaisyflorals@gmail.com to make sure we have availability for your wedding date. Once confirmed, you can order your preservation online and we will send more information to you on how to package and ship your blooms to us.

I last minute decided I want to press my wedding bouquet! Can you help with that?

Please reach out via paperdaisyflorals@gmail.com to see if we have the availability. We can take flowers if shipped within 2 days of your event. Any later than that, we ask you send us some photos to determine the state of your flowers. We can always recreate your bouquet as well if your blooms are past a workable pressing window.

Where do you get your frames from?

Our frames are made of varying locally sourced hardwoods in-house by my ever-talented husband. After your flowers are pressed and a mock-up of your design is created we will send you stain options to choose from.

Do you sell your flower presses?

We do occasionally sell our presses! These are also handmade by my husband out of locally sourced hickory. If you are interested in purchasing a press and none are available online, please reach out via email to paperdaisyflorals@gmail.com

Dried Florals

How do I care for my wreath?

Great question! All wreaths are intended to be hung or displayed indoors, away from humidity, and ideally out of direct sunlight. Dried flowers are sensitive to heat and light. The more sun they get, the faster the colors fade! When handling your wreath, avoiding grabbing the flowers themselves and instead carry the wreath by it's base.

How long will my dried florals last?

All dried florals are meant to last for several months with minimum maintenance. I recommend handling them as infrequently as possible, as they are real flowers and as such are very delicate. With proper care, your wreath may last upwards of a year or two, if not longer. These items may be stored in a cool, dry location, away from heat sources and humidity. If you would like to dust your wreath or dried arrangement, I recommend using a hair dryer on a low and no-heat setting. All dried floral products are handcrafted, making each one unique!

How will my wreath be shipped?

Wreaths are all shipped securely in a cardboard box to help prevent jostling and damage during transit. Please carefully cut or untwist the pipe cleaners to remove your wreath from the box. Your wreath is made with real dried plant items and should be handled with care. Some natural elements may shed during transit. This is completely normal! I have added additional stems to compensate for any lost during shipping. Your item will be ready to be displayed straight out of the box! Again, hang or display indoors.

Order Changes and Discounts

Can I modify or cancel my order?

If you need to change or cancel your order, please let me know within 48 hours of placing it by emailing me at paperdaisyflorals@gmail.com

Why don't you accept returns?

Our products are either custom, or made of all natural pressed or dried flowers and elements making them incredibly delicate. Their fragile nature makes it so they cannot be re-sold. Upon receiving your item, please inspect your item and contact us immediately if your item is damaged, defective or if you've received the wrong product so we can make it right. Note: for dried products it is normal for some natural elements to shed during transit. Additional flowers and stems have been added to each product to compensate for any that may be shed during shipping.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer a 15% military and first responder discount! Please email me at paperdaisyflorals@gmail.com to get a code sent your way. Thank you for your service.
